What's New This Year?
We're making a few changes to improve the experience for everyone.
More Outdoor Gathering Space
Most of this year's event will take place outside under event tents in our parking lot. This gives everyone more room to socialize, display projects, and meet other makers.
We'll still be offering guided tours inside our production facility where you'll see how filament is manufactured, but the primary gathering area will be outdoors.
Filament Production Demonstration
Last year's "Make Your Own Spool" activity was incredibly popular—so popular that scheduling became difficult and many attendees weren't able to participate.
Instead, we'll be running one of our production lines during part of the event so everyone can see how filament is made from start to finish.
Bring Your Prints!
One of the best parts of Grillament is seeing what everyone has been working on.
We'll have tables available under the tents where attendees are encouraged to display their favorite projects, recent prints, prototypes, cosplay pieces, engineering parts, or anything else they've created.
Whether it's your very first Benchy or a complex multi-material project, we'd love to see it.
Maker Chip Trading
Bring your Maker Chips and trade with other attendees!
Maker Chips have become a fun tradition within the maker community, and Grillament is a great opportunity to exchange them with fellow makers.
If you haven't made one yet, you can find the original design here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/415825-makerchip-maker-chip-the-new-makercoin#profileId-540868
Leave Your Mark at Polar Filament
Any Maker Chip traded with Polar Filament will become part of our permanent collection.
We'll proudly display them in our lobby, creating a lasting wall of everyone who has visited Grillament over the years.
